POSITION SUMMARY:


The Recruiting Specialist (“RS”) will be responsible for Human Resources efforts to identify, attract, recruit, and hire those individuals who are qualified for positions within World Relief’s U.S. Programs. In addition, the RS will work with Human Resources team to create and maintain a well-organized and effective employment process that promotes unity between Human Resources and U.S. programs.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with World Relief hiring managers to identify employment needs; coordinate the proper documentation of open positions including updated job descriptions and authorized personnel request forms; and determine recruitment strategy for open jobs.

  • Pursue traditional and creative avenues to identify and attract possible qualified candidates.

  • Network and build relationships with churches, colleges/universities, and placement agencies.

  • Screen and interview candidates for open positions and refer the most qualified candidates to the hiring manager for interview.

  • Sourcing passive candidates using LinkedIn.

  • Oversee reference checks on select candidates; background checks, and job skills assessments.

  • Keep candidates and hiring managers updated on the hiring situation.

  • Coordinate pre-hire paperwork and administration.

  • Communicate job offer to selected candidate.

  • Prepare recruiting progress reports and other documents for management when requested.

  • Other duties/projects as assigned.

  • Manage all aspects of the applicant tracking system (ATS).

  • Create and manage recruiting content for WR’s LinkedIn account.

  • Management of a recruiting administrative assistant.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:



  • Nonprofit and/or religious organization employment experiences highly preferred.

  • Experience working in HRIS and ATS software, Ultimate Software preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently on multiple priorities.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.


REQUIREMENTS:



  • Mature and personal Christian faith

  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief

  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or commensurate experience. Additional course work in various HR disciplines a plus

  • 2-3 years of employment/recruiting experience

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work well with a remote team

  • The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:



  • General office setting.

  • Great lengths of time working on computer, reading from computer screen, entering information, standing at copier or fax machine, and some time on the phone or in skype meetings may be required.

  • Year-end archiving activities involve repeated lifting and bending.

  • Physical, emotional and intellectual demands

  • Equipment used: Employee computer (desktop or laptop), printer, and copier.
