This Vertica Partner Marketing Manager will be responsible for providing field and digital marketing support of the growing Vertica partner ecosystem, with a primary focus on value added resellers and alliances partners. This role will also include the development of joint go-to-market planning with select partners, supporting field enablement, running and representing Vertica at conferences and meetups, and more. This partner marketing manager will also work closely with product marketing to support new releases, sales plays, lead generation campaigns, and ensure the market fully understands the combination of Vertica with complementary partner products and services.


Responsibilities:



  • Based on a strong knowledge of trends in the Big Data analytics/Machine Learning industry affect the strategy/direction of the marketing campaigns and programs for the product line/line of services or solutions

  • Suggest programmatic changes internally and with external partners

  • Develop go-to-market plans with a range of partners, identifying which to focus more resources than the other

  • Lead projects that involve cross- functional coordination to provide integrated products/services/ solutions

  • Lead external agencies and vendors as well as work with internal teams; creative email marketing, product marketing, sales and web team

  • Possess extensive project management skills; running an event from its inception all the way to post event reporting (running in conjunction with Marketing Operations team)

  • Manage and balance MDF budget allocation and reconciliation

  • Build timely post event reporting statistics (post show documents, financial reconciliation, lead input, Salesforce campaign creation, and ongoing pipeline creation based on activities)

  • Seen by sales team as a key contributor in the products/services/solutions

  • Develop effective communication vehicles to and for partners including, newsletters and social media

  • Manage partner enablement via partner portals (Vertica Academy & Zift)

  • Often create innovative campaigns to enhance sales of the product lines or line of services/solutions

  • Seen by sales team as a key contributor in the products/services/solutions


Education and Experience Required:



  • College degree in Marketing/Business/Technical.


Knowledge and Skills:



  • 8-10 years in marketing fundamentals

  • Strong leadership capabilities

  • Minimum 2 year work experience in a some partner marketing function beyond field and digital marketing
